Description
Lots of people think that Cornwall is just about tourism. But at our online ‘Sustainable Cornwall We Want’ event, the Institute of Cornish Studies and Tevi will showcase Cornish businesses, organisations and research that demonstrate that we are much, much more than this.
Joined by Daphne Skinnard from BBC Radio Cornwall, we will talk about how we are still at the forefront of global technological innovations, but this time with an emphasis on sustainable solutions; and we will discuss Cornish organisations providing solutions to community problems.
Confirmed speakers include Joanie Willett and Garry Tregidga from the Institute of Cornish Studies, Dan Bloomfield of Tevi, responsible mining expert Professor Karen Hudson-Edwards, Lucy Crane of Cornish Lithium, Melissa Thorpe of Spaceport Cornwall, Jessie Hamshar and Peter Lefort of Cornwall Council and Emily Stevenson of Beach Guardian.
