Cornwall College Business (CCB) has developed an exciting new leadership programme ‘Leading to success’. This programme has been designed to help business owners, senior managers and middle managers to become more inspiring leaders, to lead their business to success.
The programme is delivered in a series of four one-day workshops and includes interactive presentations, group discussions on how leadership affects business performance as well as guest speakers from local businesses including TRAC Services, Worldwide Financial Planning and Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust.
Research conducted by Daniel Goleman, an author, psychologist, and science journalist, highlighted that ‘up to 30% of a company’s financial results are determined by the mood of the organisation’. A good leader creates an environment that determines people’s mood within the workplace which in turn, affects their productivity and level of engagement.
Delegates signing up to the programme will receive a personal leadership psychometric profile with one to one feedback and coaching from experienced industry experts. Delegates will also develop skills to create an atmosphere for innovation and creativity, team building and understanding team dynamics, decision making and communication, change management and strategic approaches to developing staff.
Dave Linnell OBE, Principal of Cornwall College, said: “This programme has been developed to help businesses across the county move forward during the road to economic recovery.”
