Cornwall College Business (CCB) are pleased to host a half day business event on Tuesday 20^th July, at Kingsley Village Conference Suite, Fraddon 2.00pm – 4.30pm.

This free event offers taster sessions from a wide range of performance boosting short courses including marketing, project management, web and print design and employment law. Find out more about some of CCB’s brand new courses in e-marketing, environment, carbon management, lean service, leadership and human resources.

Come and hear from local businesses that have already completed these training courses including Parc Signs, Rock Marine Services and TJ International Ltd. Hear how training has helped them save money, increase efficiency and developed new skills which they could instantly implement into their business. Network with other business people sharing good practice or why not book a one to one advice session to find out about training and funding available.

Andrew Hampton, Parc Signs, St Austell, successfully completed the Project Management course and said: "The course quickly provided us with the insight to properly analyse crucial processes within our workplace, how to effectively implement change and has resulted in increased efficiency, productivity and longer term profitability."

Performance boosting short courses for business are modules from a Foundation Degree awarded by the University of Plymouth and are available at a subsidised rate through the support of the ESF (European Social Fund) Convergence Programme and the Learning and Skills Council subject to criteria.

Dave Linnell OBE, Principal of Cornwall College, said: “This event offers local businesses an opportunity to get a taste of training before they commit fully to a course. This enables them to enrol on a course which meets their needs and receive advice on funding.”
