Cornwall's leading solar PV installer, Plug Into The Sun is preparing for an exciting opportunity to present the latest on incentives for micro-generation (where homes, businesses, communities and projects generate their own green electricity).
Managing Director Andy Tanner is giving a talk on 20th July 2010 about the Government's Feed-In Tariff. The incentive scheme is to encourage uptake of micro-generation. At the moment electricity utility companies are obliged to buy renewable electricity at fixed above-market rates set by the Government.
The presentation to the Chamber of Commerce coincides with the energy minister's announcement that he intends to allow council's to benefit from the Feed-In Tariff and sell their renewable energy. He has also launched a consultation into micro-generation in accordance with government plans for homes, businesses and communities to generate their own renewable power.
Plug Into The Sun is delighted to soon be presenting its role in achieving these sustainable solutions, to the chamber.
