The feedback the Airport has received from its recent passenger surveys illustrates the demand for Wi-Fi being available passengers travelling through the Airport. The availability of free Wi-Fi in the Airport Terminal went live on Friday 28 May 2010. This will be a huge benefit to business travellers using the airport picking up Wi-Fi throughout the terminal. Equally, leisure passengers can enjoy this added feature of free Wi-Fi meaning they can arrive at the airport earlier to make the most of checking their emails or simply browsing the internet.
This is the first of a number of improvements across the terminal to be introduced having listened to our passengers feedback which will improve the overall passenger experience.
Those without a laptop can also take advantage of the new state of the art 'pay for' internet desks situated in the airside departure areal.
Josie Slater, Marketing Officer said: 'we are pleased to introduce the first step in providing passengers with a more pleasant airport experience. We're aiming to improve our facilities in line with other UK airports, and where we can, going that extra mile to provide a unique service from flying through a small, convenient and professional airport'.
The free WiFi was installed by Spectrum Interactive who also provide other UK airport's with WiFi including Manchester and Birmingham.
