Free Conference Healthy Wealthy & Working Wednesday 24th February 2010, 9am – 1pm, Pavilion Centre, Royal Cornwall Showground, Wadebridge, PL27 7JE. “A healthy workforce is a happier, more productive workforce” A healthy and productive workforce should be every organisation’s ambition, especially in today’s competitive business environment. The pressures to reduce costs, increase profits and improve service quality are high. Staff remain the most important asset for any organisation and investing in their health and wellbeing can prove the key to sustained success. Aims of the event • To launch the new Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Workplace Health Award • To hear an overview of national policy and success stories from the National Director for Work and Health, Dame Carol Black • To share examples of local good practice that are improving staff health and wellbeing • Try out a range of practical ideas to implement in your workplace, for example, preventative health checks, using local free support like the stop smoking service and weight management groups, preventing common back pains and the Wii Fit Challenge!
