How Legal is Your Marketing?

Truro-based lawyers Murrell Ashworth LLP announced the details of their first seminar of 2010: “How legal is your sales & marketing?” which they are delivering in conjunction with the Head of Research from the Chartered Institute of Marketing and a local Chartered Marketer.

A great deal of effort is spent on marketing to generate sales, but it has been found that many business owners are unaware of the latest regulations and legislation that impact sales and marketing activities. Aimed at business owners, managers and marketers, this breakfast seminar on Wednesday 24th February 2010 will focus on practical approaches to staying on the right side of the law when it comes to business communications and promotion.

Murrell Ashworth Partner Katie Ashworth will be presenting on key areas of law that impact how businesses communicate with potential and existing customers, including how to avoid getting into the minefield that is misrepresentation.

Mark Stuart, Head of Research for The Chartered Institute of Marketing will be providing case study examples to highlight where businesses go wrong and how they can get it right.

Sue Windley, Marketing Director of the Pragmatic Performance Group will be focusing on how businesses can measure different aspects of their sales and marketing activities to ensure a profitable outcome for their marketing investment.

Places on the seminar are only £10 per person which includes a donation to Penryn-based charity BF Adventure which supports disadvantaged children.
