TRAC SERVICES MAKES TOP 1% OF INVESTOR IN PEOPLE BUSINESSES

Award winning Cornish Regulatory Affairs company TRAC Services has started 2010 in extremely positive fashion, becoming only the second company in Cornwall to achieve a Silver Investors in People (IIP) standard and scooping a top Business Training Award.

 The Camborne firm, which works with pharmaceutical companies across the UK to ensure they adhere to the manufacturing and marketing regulations covering them, achieved a Silver IIP rating, putting them in the top 1% of businesses in the UK.

 This was quickly followed up at the Cornwall Excellence in Business Training Awards 2010 where TRAC took top honours in the Graduate Development Category.

 Having first achieved IIP status in 2007, TRAC on this occasion qualified for the highly coveted additional recognition as Investors in People silver for what assessors called its “excellent culture and practices and significant improvements in what was already good practice”.

 The assessor also highlighted that “the review was a pleasure to complete as it was so rewarding to see how well the company is developing as an organisation through its people, who were without exception very motivated, professional and clearly very much enjoyed being involved with this exciting company and with the others in their great team.”’.

 Company director Sarah Trethowan, who launched TRAC with her husband Jonathan in 2001, said she was delighted to have achieved both the IIP Silver and the Graduate Development award in such short succession, as both were a reflection of the people within the company.

 “The strength of our business is built on the people within it and creating and encouraging a positive working environment, which is something we have wanted to achieve ever since we launched TRAC, so we are delighted to have received both the IIP Silver Status and the Graduate Training Award.

 "To be only the second company in Cornwall to achieve this status is something we are really proud of and because the assessment is so strongly linked to the people in the business as well as the processes and systems in place, to then win the Graduate Award so quickly afterwards was fantastic,” said Sarah.

 “As an employer, it is fantastic for us to see the feedback the team was given and we feel that this is confirmation that the approach we are taking is the right one,” said Sarah.
