    It's all about connecting

Cornwall Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to inspire, connect and support the businesses of Cornwall & Scilly. We are the champions of the private sector and we are proud to represent the business community in consultation with Cornwall Council, the Local Enterprise Partnership, local and national politicians.

To get a real view of what is occupying business leaders’ minds we organise lots of purposeful networking events giving businesses the opportunities to find new customers, suppliers, share best practice and, of course, to learn from and collaborate with others – some like-minded, some challenging. So sometimes these events are for everybody in order to get a spread of views; sometimes they are for businesses in, for example, Bude or Helston; or just for Cornwall’s Large Enterprises; or from our mid-size businesses (we have 288 businesses employing 50-249 people); or for companies in, say, the media sector.

The autumn highlight, suitable for all SMEs, is Connected Cornwall at Healey’s Cyder Farm on 14th November. Places are free and open to book now to bring yourself up to date on increasing sales from your website and improving your leadership skills. As is discussed elsewhere in Commerce Cornwall, the big networking event of next year is the Cornwall Business Fair which, for 2018, has a completely new look and a massive revitalisation. Note the date in your diary now: Truro School, 18th April 2018. You can book a stand right now. Parking is available next to the Exhibition Hall.

The networking, inspiration and connectivity across the Duchy, throughout the UK and internationally which your Chamber of Commerce offers you means that member businesses are  best informed at all times on every aspect of running your business from training to export, leadership to cybercrime. It’s a great place to be. And if you’re a civic-minded Cornish business  wanting to help the local economy prosper as well as your own company succeed, which 97% of us are, then you’ll enjoy the involvement with all things positive for Cornwall & Scilly.

Your Chamber of Commerce certainly enjoys being at the heart of the Cornish community giving your business the connections and opportunities to flourish in the forward-looking, dynamic setting which we all love. Chamber membership makes you money, connections and more knowledgeable about the Duchy. We’d love to have a conversation. Contact kimconchie@cornwallchamber.co.uk for info.
