Cornwall Chamber of Commerce is renowned for its business support and networking events in Cornwall. What we might not be so well known for is our commitment to this beautiful county. We could not travel the length and breadth of Cornwall for our 70+ events per year and fail to be amazed by its beauty. And we want to keep it that way.
Our focus may be on commerce, Brexit and the changing business landscape but we are not limited to encouraging behaviour change where business is concerned. Behaviour change is the most important factor in reducing carbon and contributing to a greener planet.
The good news is that a side effect of saving the planet is the financial saving for your business. At Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, we are committed to improving our contribution to the environment. Here are some ways behaviour change can have the mutual benefit of saving you money and saving our planet!

Optimise networking events

Make the most of the time you spend going to networking events by booking meetings with clients and suppliers there. This will save your company money in fuel claims and help reduce carbon emissions. Win/win.

Cycle or lift share

Another option is to cycle or share lifts to networking events and to work. Cycling allows you to connect with the landscape, where sharing lifts can mean you and your colleagues are economical with your time and get an opportunity to chat idea through out of the office!

Printer ink cartridges

Whatever size of business you are you will have some old cartridges. On websites such as printercartridgerecycling.co.uk. for example, empty Canon CL-546s fetch £3.50 each. Unused cartridges from printers you no longer have, or use can be traded in as well.

Buy local

Something a Chamber of Commerce always does is to ensure that we use our membership, meaning we use local suppliers. We encourage all businesses to do the same, reducing miles and supporting your local economy.
