St. Mellion Estate promises to be an unforgettable experience of refined leisure and hospitality in Plymouth all the while networking with like-minded business individuals throughout the beautiful counties of Devon & Cornwall.
Co-Host:
Speakers:
Dr. Nicola Wilson, General Manager of Samworth Brothers
"I am a subject matter expert, with extensive understanding of food safety challenges and knowledge regarding food manufacturing processes and practices, my role focuses on microbiological food safety, but also involves horizon scanning of important topics such as antimicrobial resistance, authenticity of ingredients and techniques used to prove country of origin or meat species and advising on allergen testing and testing of vegan products. I lead a team of 44 colleagues at Westward Labs and I provide both customer and bakery support, protecting and growing the reputation of the Group and our external customers. I influence on best practice testing, microbiology, and standards. Having direct access to a broad range of the food safety community, I hold positions on technical committees and food safety Groups and disseminate relevant information from these across the Group. I am a qualified leadership coach and coach supervisor and have provided coaching to both Samworth Brothers colleagues and external business people over many years."
Hannah Millington, Head of People and Change of Samworth Brothers
"I have been with Samworth Brothers since 2016 in various roles both based inside and outside of Cornwall and am currently in the role of Head of People & Change.
I was raised in Cornwall but have been away for 20yrs, however I am now back in the country and living here permanently again. This is wonderful as I love the outdoors, nature, and nothing more than being by or in the sea.
Being back close to my family is fabulous and allows me to help on their farm which adds a very different element to my world and day-to-day job."
Saray Sayer – Director of finance shared services
"After training and qualifying as a Certified Accountant with KPMG, I joined Samworth Brothers in 2011 as Ginsters Financial Accountant. After doing this role for four years I became the Finance Manager for Samworth Brothers Business Service Centre, which was responsible for the accounting for the Samworth Brothers Cornish businesses. In July 2019 Samworth Brothers opened a financial Shared Services for the whole group and I was promoted to Director in November 2019.
Over the past 4 years we have on-boarded all the Samworth Brothers businesses into Shared Services. We are currently responsible for all transactional finance for all 16 businesses across the group.
Our team has grown from 34 to 57 colleagues, all living in the local community."
