Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Digital ...Description
The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) are currently undertaking several research activities to progress the recommendations from the Health and Work green paper.
A key area of this work is focussed on small and medium employers (SME’s) and the information and support they need to help them retain employees with disabilities and long term health conditions.
Some of you took part in telephone interviews with the User Researcher (Jo O’Keefe) back in December which really helped us to better understand SME’s needs in this area.
The work has now progressed to a point where we are exploring options for what a digital service might contain.
We’re looking for people to help us with this, regardless of whether they have experiences of employing people with disabilities and long term health conditions, or not.
We would like to invite you to a service design workshop on 25th April between 0930 and 1230 at Job Centre Plus Offices, Lemon Quay, Truro TR1 2PU.
The session will be facilitated by Jo O’Keefe and a Service Designer from DWP Digital (Jacinta Mellenger).
The session will explore any experiences you have already had of retaining employees with long term health conditions and disabilities. We will also consider how you might approach these issues in future should they arise in your organisation. We’re interested in what you think you’d do even if you haven’t already experienced these situations.
All we require is your honesty and ideas. In return we can promise anonymity for you and your organisation in the findings from the session. You input will really make a difference to how we progress the work and we really appreciate your time.
