Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) and the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly LSIP Leadership Panel are pleased to invite you to the fourth of our LSIP Quarterly Forum events for 2024.
What’s an LSIP? It’s the Local Skills Improvement Plan.
FSB are leading on the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly LSIP (CIoS LSIP). In collaboration with businesses, training providers, sector groups and stakeholders, FSB have produced the CIoS LSIP REPORT which lists some 63 actionable priorities that now need to be delivered to meet the skills and workforce needs of employers across the county.
Event Purpose
Our aim is to bring together employers, providers and stakeholders to:
- Update you on the work of the CIoS LSIP.
- Inform you of the Local Skills Improvement Fund (LSIF).
- Check, challenge and help shape our plans for taking the LSIP forward.
- Provide a platform for you to share your views on the skills that matter for you and your business.
- Identify and develop opportunities, including employer-led focus groups, which can support the CIoS LSIP Delivery.
- Discuss in more detail the agreed key themes of our LSIP: Manufacturing, Engineering, Marine, Construction, Retrofit, Digital, Net Zero / Green, Local Skills System, Employablity Skills, Equality Diversity & Inclusivity (ED&I) and socioeconomic issues.
What else will happen?
You will have a chance to speak other businesses, decision makers, business leaders and skills professionals both in round table and informal networking lunch formats.
A free buffet lunch is on offer.
Is this event for me?
YES! Employer feedback has been vital in the development of our LSIP and we want to ensure that our LSIP continues to be led by employers and that we represent your voice. We want to check that we accurately meet your skills needs and the only person who can tell us that is you.
So if you run a business in the Cornwall & Isles of Scilly area, please do come along!
If you are a training provider or a stakeholder then this is also for you to gain valuable insight into employer needs and the business environment. We need you too!
Do you have to be an FSB member?
NO! The CIoS LSIP will benefit us all so it is important for you all to be there.
We do hope you will join us.
