The University of Exeter (Cornwall Campus) invite you to a morning focused around BEE-STEWARD – a unique and innovative computer program of virtual bees in digital landscapes. BEE-STEWARD can help farmers and land managers make the most of their land for pollinator conservation and food production. Now in a phase of business engagement, we are hoping to collaborate with forward thinking businesses in the South West to start creating a future for pollinator-friendly farming that will benefit bees, farmers, businesses and society as a whole. The model’s incorporation to a business’ environmental responsibility strategy to influence both its suppliers and consumers is critical to the long-term stability of BEE-STEWARD. It would undoubtedly contribute to protecting bee habitats and farmer livelihoods, thus creating long-lasting and positive socio-environmental change. Please join us for a morning of exciting speakers, including University of Exeter Academics, researchers and students, Cornish businesses and NGOs. Learn how BEE-STEWARD could help your business. This project wishes to find long-term solutions to protect bee and pollinator habitats, improve farmer livelihoods across the UK, engage with landowners and conservationists to plan the conservation action and cooperate with businesses to minimise our communities’ environmental impacts. There is no cost to attend this Future Focus Event; it is fully funded by the European Regional Development Fund. Please note spaces are limited to 50 attendees only.
