Using academic research, the University of Exeter has designed the “Innovation in the wilds” series including this event with Vertical Blue. These inspiring, educational sessions are based on business innovation and to explore discussion away from traditional learning environments.
1000 hrs
You will meet the team at the Vertical Blue HQ in Porthleven to get kitted up and meet Ian our guide for the morning. Please note due to conditions we may move location. We may use either the paddleboards or the kayaks for the session depending on the weather. No experience is required. All the kit will be provided.
1030 - 1230 hrs
Ian will get us on the water and tell us his business story and the benefits of blue health.
1230 hrs
We will provide lunch, please bring your own refillable water bottles.
We will need you to bring;
Towel
Warm clothing for afterwards
Swim wear to wear under a wetsuit (provided)
Sun cream, hat and glasses
Please park in the local town car parks in Porthleven and take the 5 minute walk down to the harbour as there is very limited parking close to the Vertical Blue HQ.
If the weather is unsuitable for taking to the water we will head on the coastal path to Rinsey and network and discuss innovation all the while being inspired by the beautiful scenery. We will notify you of this decision in advance and would ask you to wear appropriate footwear and clothing if this is the case.
You will have the opportunity to network in a different more informal environment that has proven to improve your natural pitch.
This event is for any level of staff in a Cornish based business, start up, sole trader, charity or social enterprise.
