The ground breaking Smartline project is hosting a special event for key stakeholders and businesses to mark the formal launch of our unique anonymised dataset to demonstrate how technology can be used to design better systems for managing homes in the future, and for inventing new products and services.
Outline Agenda
-
Networking Lunch
-
Informative Presentations
-
Key Note (Open Data Institute)
-
Exploratory Workshops
Led by the University of Exeter in partnership with Coastline Housing Ltd, Cornwall Council and Volunteer Cornwall, the three-year project funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the South West Academic Health Science Network, is leading the way in exploring how technology can be used to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities.
Smartline’s unique anonymised dataset includes sensor data from 290 homes covering gas and electricity usage, housing temperature, VOC & CO2 levels, humidity levels and water consumption. The project is also collecting health and wellbeing data relating to communities and volunteering.
This event will be led by academics from the University of Exeter who will be demonstrating the information that has been collected during the first year of the project and outlining what has been learned. They will be showcasing the tools and techniques used to find patterns within this complex dataset and providing guidance on how you can access and use the data.
The event is taking place at Heartlands in Pool between 1pm and 4pm on Wednesday, 16 January 2019 and we would like to invite you to take part. Lunch will be available from 12:00, so please let us know if you have any dietary requirements.
We will send out full details of the programme nearer the time to those who have registered for the event.
This is the first time the dataset will be published and we hope that you will be able to join us on 16 January 2019 to find out about the work we have been doing and how you can use this cutting edge research to develop new ideas and services.
We hope you can make it,
Smartline
