This FREE Taster Session is aimed at those working, or interested in working in sports coaching. It will provide a general introduction to the principles of coaching and learning. The tutor will give an overview of the role of the coach as well as providing an insight into planning, delivery and evaluation of coaching sessions. This taster may include a practical element outside, so please bring appropriate clothing and footwear (there will be changing facilities).
The tutor will also provide an overview of the higher level short courses linked to this subject, which includes a L4 SUCCESS course: Principles of (Sports) Coaching. The course aims to enable students to understand the concepts of learning and relate this to the appropriate delivery of a practical activity.
