This FREE taster session will provide you with useful insights into Higher Level training opportunities in this subject area and how developing these skills could benefit your career.
Introduction to Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
This session will provide a fun introduction to what it means to teach English as a foreign language. You will explore subtleties in meaning of vocabulary, consider how grammatical structures are formed and look at features of pronunciation. You will also gain a brief insight into EFL teaching methodology and practice. We will provide you with an overview of the key course elements and advise on post course options, at home and abroad.
Our free tasters are standalone, non-accredited sessions that will allow you to find out what studying these subjects at a Higher Level would entail and where gaining these qualifications could take you.
‘I thought it was brilliant – there was a taste of everything. I especially liked the start. Very, very useful. Terrific teacher and good fun – 10/10.’
This taster session is fully funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) as part of the ESF Widening Participation through Skills Project.
