What the scheme is all about
Since May 2019 the Made in Cornwall Scheme has been run by Cornwall Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Cornwall Council and Visit Cornwall as Made in Cornwall Enterprises Community Interest Company (CIC).
For information on the scheme please visit the new Made in Cornwall website, this page is only a brief introduction to the scheme.
Cornwall is renowned for being a special place, rich in heritage and outstanding natural beauty. It is home to a vibrant business community producing an extensive range of artistic and handcrafted items, from premium food and drink, through to highly specialist technical products, and has built a reputation for quality and excellence. The Made in Cornwall scheme showcases the best of Cornish-made products; and gives members exclusive opportunities to exhibit at Christmas, Summer and Easter Fairs.
The Process of Joining the Scheme
Before products are allowed to carry the Made in Cornwall logo they need to be assessed by Trading Standards to ensure that they are indeed being made in Cornwall and that the finished products or services comply with the relevant UK and EU regulations. Therefore any business wishing to become a member of the Scheme will benefit from a conversation with the Cornwall Council Trading Standards Team before they become members of the scheme.
