Experienced family lawyer joins leading Family Law team
Employee-owned law firm, Stephens Scown LLP, has welcomed a new partner with over 20 years’ experience to their award-winning Family Law team.
Jill Bruce, an experienced family solicitor specialising in high net worth cases involving complex pensions, business interests, inherited wealth and trusts, has recently joined Stephens Scown’s Family Law team, which has Tier 1 ranking in both the Legal 500 and Chambers independent guides to legal services.
Jill regularly advises families on wealth protection, using pre- and post-nuptial agreements to protect assets in the event of relationship breakdown, with a particular specialism in ring-fencing personal injury settlements. She also advises on financial provision for the children of unmarried parents under Schedule 1 Children Act 1989.
Jill comments: “Having started my career at Stephens Scown as a trainee solicitor, I really feel like I have come home. It is great to be joining such a highly regarded Family Law team, which continues to go from strength to strength, and I look forward to helping more clients navigate their way through what can be a most stressful and emotional time of their life.”

Stephens Scown’s Family Law team advises clients on a full range of issues including complex financial arrangements and high incomes. The team has substantial expertise in divorce cases involving business interests, inherited wealth, wealth protection and cases involving arrangements for children.
