SAPC chosen as preferred printing partner for Cornwall Wildlife Trust
St Austell Printing Company (SAPC) has announced a business partnership with the Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
As part of their ongoing commitment to sustainability and protecting the environment, the family-run company has announced that is has become a Wildlife Partner of Cornwall Wildlife Trust for 2019/20; joining other prominent brands such as South West Water, Frugi, Whistlefish and BBC Radio Cornwall.
Cornwall Wildlife Trust is the county’s only charity that conserves habitats, protects wildlife and inspires people. It manages 57 nature reserves in the county and raises awareness of Cornwall’s wildlife.
Beth Mayman, SAPC’s Operations Manager said: “We feel privileged to call Cornwall our home and to be surrounded by exceptional landscapes and wildlife. That’s why we’ve been interested in the objectives of Cornwall Wildlife Trust for a number of years and respect the important work it does helping to protect Cornwall’s wildlife and wild places.”
St Austell Printing Company was named one of the region’s most sustainable businesses in November’s Cornwall Sustainability Awards and last year invested in one of Cornwall’s largest roof-based solar panel arrays. SAPC have also been chosen as a preferred printing supplier for Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
Beth continued: “When we built our new sustainable Factory, Conference Centre and Business Park in 2013 we made a conscious decision that we wanted to embrace all elements of sustainability across our business. From generating our own green energy to recycling 100% of our paper waste and creating lush gardens and surroundings to help local wildlife to thrive; there are dozens of initiatives we have in place to ensure we are as sustainable and responsible as we can be.”
Ella Clark, Cornwall Wildlife Trust Marketing Manager who assessed local print companies to be partners, said: “It’s clear that caring for the environment and wildlife is embedded into the business plan for St Austell Printing Company – and it was a breath of fresh air literally and figuratively when we visited to assess them.
“I’d ask all businesses to take the plunge and add a splash of wildlife creativity – whether it’s a pond, wildlife verges or getting on board with the new Building with Nature scheme that advises on green infrastructure themes of water, wellbeing and wildlife. Your staff and customers will love it, and so will your business.”
Beth from SAPC concluded: “From a personal point of view, my daughter has been an avid fan of Cornwall Wildlife Trust for a while, and goes to their Wildlife Watch events and she gets really excited when her magazine drops through our door
“We’re glad that we’re able to help support the ongoing important work of Cornwall Wildlife Trust, at a time when our wildlife and wild places need us the most.”
