    Kim Conchie DL, FRSA

    Kim has been CEO of Cornwall Chamber of Commerce since April 2012. His visionary yet highly pragmatic approach has seen him develop the Chamber into an organisation that is firmly at the forefront of Cornwall’s business community. Cornwall Chamber of Commerce has grown to encompass a specialist team that offers an extensive range of services, from export market expertise to a vibrant mix of networking events, as well as being very much the voice of business in Cornwall on a regional, national and international scale.

    Kim is also a member of and chairs, several business and education boards. He is chair of trustees at Cornwall Community Foundation, a trustee of Truro School Foundation, a member of Truro & Penwith College Employment & Business Board, a Member of WAVE MAT, an advisory board member of Golden Tree Productions and of Smartline (an Exeter University programming looking at improving health in the home), sits on the Cornwall Place Board and the Falmouth Place-shaping Board.

     

    In business, Kim jointly founded Brass Tacks Publishing in 1986. Brass Tacks became one of the top customer publishing and website agencies in UK before Kim led a successful trade sale to Chime Communications plc in 2000. Major clients were RAC, first direct, Somerfield, Royal Mail, UKTI, British Gas, Scottish Power, Bank of Scotland, Rugby Football Union, Lawn Tennis Association. He was md of the Bristol office of PSPRare (as Brass Tacks was rebranded after the sale) from 2006 to 2009. Kim co-founded Navas Drinks Ltd in 2018 which produces top quality Cornish mixers using Cornish spring water and hand-selected botanicals. The company has supported the work of The Eden Trust from its formation. His BA Hons in English and Economics from Cardiff University has provided useful background throughout his business career.

    In November 2019, Kim was appointed a Deputy Lieutenant of Cornwall. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce.

    In addition to his working life, he loves his wife Sarah, three grown up children, Cornwall, and his garden. He is a life member of Cornwall Heritage Trust, Falmouth Rugby Club,  South West Coast Path Association and The Royal Academy of Arts.

    Patricia is an experienced events organiser and marketeer, and firmly believes in creating a positive culture within the Chamber and at all events. Having previously worked closely with some of our existing partners, Patricia consistently tries to make each event different and inviting. Most importantly, she is passionate about maintaining and gaining strong working relationships in order to keep the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce thriving.

    Kirsty, our Director of People and Operations, is a true match for this role; with fantastic communication skills and strong connections with our Directors, Business Partners, Members and the Chamber team, Kirsty’s mission is to maintain fantastic working relationships within the team and externally. She is the main reason why Cornwall Chamber’s membership retention is the highest in the UK. Furthermore, Kirsty is always considerate of the Chamber’s wellbeing and future.
