Kim Conchie is crashing Mirren's much loved Coffee Catch up once a month on a Thursday.
Kim and a very special guest will be having a themed discussion and we want YOU to get involved.
We want you all to grab yourself that (much needed) cup of coffee and get involved with the conversation. Feel free to ask questions, add to the discussion while taking that well deserved hour out of your day to network and have a good old chat.
This weeks Special Guest is STUART ELFORD - CHIEF EXECUTIVE, DEVON & PLYMOUTH CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Stuart will sharing the news about BCCSW new event. This is one of our largest online events yet, so you don't want to miss out on the opportunity to hear all about it.
Stuart Elford is the Chief Executive of the Devon & Plymouth Chamber of Commerce, a role he commenced in October 2018. He is a Chartered Manager and Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (CMgr FCMI) with extensive experience of leadership roles in the public, private and third sectors, having helped numerous businesses and charities grow and succeed.
A former police officer (1986-2003) and media spokesperson, he left the service to start his own PR & marketing business. He grew, merged and sold this before taking on various business consultancy roles until he became Director of Operations & Development at a Plymouth-based law firm.
Stuart was Chair of St Luke's Hospice Plymouth from 2010-2017 and was a Director of the Chamber of Commerce from 2016-2018, from which he stood down to take on the full-time role of Chief Executive.
He now Chairs British Chambers of Commerce South West (BCCSW), an alliance of accredited county chambers formed to rival the likes of the Midlands Engine and Northern Powerhouse. He is also a board member of the Plymouth Area Business Council, Plymouth Growth Board, Employment Skills Board, and HoTSWLEP Digital Skills Partnership as well as an advisory board member of Marjon Business School and a member of the Create Change Leadership Group.
He is passionate about Plymouth and Devon and using his commercial expertise to make a difference to the area in which we live and work. Stuart believes integrity and values are paramount and likes to build partnerships and work together to deliver sustainable solutions.
Stuart is a private pilot, a sailor, a biker (and President of Plymouth Advanced Motorcyclists) and proud dog owner of Charlie.
