About Us
The University of Exeter is recognised both nationally and internationally as one of the top universities in the world in terms of both quality of teaching and impact of research. The 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) recognised 98% of our research as being of international quality. The Innovation, Impact and Business (IIB) team leads our collaborations with external partners, helping academics to make an impact in the world and driving place-based innovation. IIB identifies and supports opportunities for collaboration with partners and draws on the University education, research and physical assets to generate income and impact from these relationships. IIB focus on five major strands: business research collaboration, corporate partnerships, impact support and development, innovation eco-system and place-based investment. We offer a number of research and development (R&D) services to help address your business challenges and improve company growth in a flexible and cost effective way. We have comprehensive commercial and free intellectual property (IP) catalogues, and are keen to ensure the outcomes of our world-class research benefit society and the economy. Businesses can benefit from working with University IP because it gives you: the opportunity to develop new products and services, access new markets and access to our research outcomes and the knowledge surrounding our IP. If you would like to find out how your business could benefit from working with the University of Exeter, please contact Jim Grant, Head of Business Engagement based at our Penryn Campus.
