Check out your local Chamber of Commerce for Networking Events

Our website events section tells you about all of the events run by the Chamber of Commerce and our membership. We often list other relevant events that we feel are useful to the business community. When you become a member, our website provides a space where you can upload your own events and communicate with our networks to let them know what you’ve got on.

Cornwall Chamber of Commerce networking events are notoriously popular and, with over 100 delegates in the room, there are plenty of people you can speak to and find out about what’s on.

Learn to Network with Social Media

Previously considered free advertising, with its many sponsorship opportunities, social media is a great place to look and find out about events happening near you. Businesses with a decent following on Facebook may create their events on the platform and you can click just one button to register interest. X and LinkedIn are also fantastic places to keep track of events. By ensuring that you follow prominent business support services, you will hear about networking events up and down the county. With its easy search options, Eventbrite is a great place to find out about all sorts of things happening in your area. You can refine the search to look for specific dates and areas, as well as the ‘type’ of event.

How to Network with Sector groups

There are many sector-focused groups in Cornwall, all of which hold different sector-specific events. We work closely with these sector groups and hold information about what’s coming up for them, and when. We have recently partnered with the Made in Cornwall group to increase opportunities for their membership and we collaborated with Visit Cornwall on the International Tourism Week campaign.
 

Visit Innovation Centres and Business Parks

Cornwall has a fantastic selection of small business parks and business spaces, so why not drop in and get chatting? Here you’ll find traditional flyers to let you know about various events, and more importantly, the people on the ground who have been to them. Start a dialogue with other business people and you’re already networking, as well as finding out about other events!
